I’ve been calling for a flat 20% heat generation buff to the X-Pulse Laser family for two months. Lucky for us this latest patch gave the Blackjack 1X a total of -25% heat generation through quirks… and it’s a blast. It still runs very hot, but the extra heat saved means you can keep shooting for longer and actually make use of the damge-over-time compontent of the whole x-pulse laser design. Time to BUFF XPULSE HEAT GEN next patch!Enjoy!

#MWO (#MechwarriorOnline) by Piranha Games. Free to play at . MechWarrior Online is a free-to-play vehicular combat video game, officially launched during September 2013 by Piranha Games for Microsoft Windows. The game takes place within the larger #BattleTech universe. In MechWarrior: Online, players takes the role of a “”MechWarrior”” who pilots large bipedal combat vehicles known as BattleMechs (Mech for short). Players can customize their BattleMech with an array of weapons and equipment, and engage in 12 versus 12 battles, the outcome of which earns the players experience and c-bills for future BattleMech purchases and customization. There are currently seven game modes that involve protecting and attacking a single base (Assault), capturing and holding several points (Conquest), take and hold the center of the map (Domination), attacking a space defense system (Siege/Counter-Attack), protecting and attacking field bases with turrets and walls spread across the map (Incursion), and team death-match (Skirmish).

02.12.2023I'm loving my locust 1V with large X pulse laser firing off 500 damage a game effortlessly. Recommend it as a variant of the large laser build for sure!

09.11.2023Been playing this build since i saw you use it on stream not long ago, it's a lot of fun. Only difference is that i use a 265 engine with speed tweaks by shaving a little armor from legs, so far in 25/30 matchs i only got legged once so i find it worth

08.11.2023Still toasty, not gonna be singing 'we didn't start the fire' any time soon. They could take an additional 10% off the heat and they'd be actually good. So fun to watch the alternating fire though, laser dakka.

07.11.2023The -1X is just such a solid mech, so much fun to play and super versatile. X-pulse like this just adds even more flavor, and you played it well TTB

07.11.2023NOW X-pulses look more adequate …don't they check DPS/HPS while making a new weapon in MWO? 🤔
Game developers must be uncompromisingly dedicated to make a masterpiece! 😤

07.11.2023The Blackjack 1X and Thunderbolt TDR5SS are probably my 2 favorite mech choices for MXPL right now.
– Their DPS is almost equivalent despite the Blackjack having more slots due to the cooldown on the Thunderbolt.
– The Thunderbolt runs cooler despite having 15% more heat due to having significantly more heatsinks (and 1 less XPL).
– Blackjack has better mounts, while the Thunderbolt has significantly higher range.
– Blackjack runs about 15kph faster, while the Thunderbolt has more armor and uses an LFE instead of XL (you can reach almost the same speed with an XL on the TDR)

07.11.2023I really enjoy the extra stuff you do like this. It makes the videos even more interesting. TTB is the gold standard for MWO videos

holy crap I was really close

06.11.2023i have almost the same build, except i use a "light engine 220" with the speed skilltree maxed out which brings me to 85,1 kp/h, but then you can cram one more double heatsink in and put all 6 of them in the torsos 🙂

06.11.2023How with that Timby in game 1? HOW?
foamyesque
06.11.2023Huh. I've been trying 8 MXPLs on Battlemaster 3M and finding it kind of hot and awkward even with boatloads of SHS, maybe I'll give this a spin instead.
Kumarsalib
06.11.2023Xpulses are ER pulse lasers. They're suppose to be hot in exchange for their increased range. They're pretty toasty in tabletop too.
S_Outdoors
06.11.2023I'm glad the Blackjacks finally got some love, they really needed something to make them worth using. I'm looking forward to checking out the decreased ballistic cooldown on my old favorite, the AC/2 Blackjack BJ-1.
